I had a chance today to serve Emily's teacher. I ATT at my kids' school. Please don't ask me what ATT stands for; I asked once and the answer was impossible to remember. Basically, I give 4 teachers 30 minutes each of my help - they can leave the classroom in my charge and have lunch or observe other teachers, or they can give me work to do for them. I get paid for this, and I really enjoy it.
Right now, every class is insanely busy preparing for Art and Poetry night in 2 weeks. Emily's teacher asked me to photocopy and enlarge certain pictures for the kids to use in their art projects. It was a time-consuming project and my 30 minutes were over before I could complete more than 3 of the 22 pictures. I had to move on and return the unfinished project to her desk in order to get to my next teacher in time.
When Shad and I returned to pick up the kids, I left Shad to get the kids while I grabbed the project back off Rita's desk. I was able to finish the project!!! Rita was thrilled when I gave it back to her all completed. It feels so good to help someone out who does so much for my daughter!
